three entries today.

the bus passenger's philosophy. very long ago, when i was approximately half my age now, i was on a packed bus, standing. there was a seat near me but i didn't feel like sitting. this middle-aged man called out to me to sit down. and for a good many reasons. i may be carrying alot of things and thus block up the entire passageway, so i should just sit down and save the people a lot of trouble. i may be occupying the space of someone who needs to board the jam-packed bus. so i should sit down and more space will be created. sitting with an awareness and a conscience will ensure that those who needs a seat will get it because you are going to offer it to them. these are weird little things that i never thought of, until i met this man. sometimes i feel like passing on this lesson to the next chap too.

rubbish in singapore. while walking to school i noticed sweet wrappers, cigarette butts, tissue paper and other rubbish lying about on the void deck of this certain block. as i continued to walk down the block i saw a cleaner sweeping up the bits and rubbish near the lift landing. beyond the lift landing the block suddenly seemed alot cleaner. so maybe we should think about how our country is maintaining this clean and green name thing.

evon said something that sort of struck quite badly today. she's having her wedding this sunday, and was busy liasing with the imaging agency and all the things. then after she put down the phone she said, "very tiring leh. next time when you are getting married then you will know" At that point in time the instinctive reply would have been "got chance then say." but after some non-thinking processes the words generated were "it's once in a lifetime." anyhow i only realised that the wedding is this sunday after i got home and ate dinner and all that. now i'm feeling bad that when i left the office today, evon and delly were still working very hard.
