delayed post, after attending the vocal percussion workshop with jake.
viva la a cappella!
i never took very much liking to the idol competitions, or even superband kind (primarily because of certain preferences not matching with the only a cappella group there) but after these years of trying out various things i think i better understand what i am looking for (hm. this statement applies for other things as well huh.) thank goodness aka a cappella was revived, and hopefully it can keep going. i dun know if it should be annual or biannual, but please do not let it die off again. there are plenty of groups out there, and if we seriously invite them one by one in an organised and well controlled/monitored way, this series has a good future. it is still ringing in my head how was on that same stage as 12 years ago when i was watching from the audience. zomg.
we dun know how the future will turn out, but it's up to us to push for it. suddenly school life is damn boring compared to this. i currently hope i can maintain this double life style (primarily so that i can be well fed throughout all these), and do what i can in both. hmhm. slightly overambitious.
anyway jake did a good question and answer session, covering the basic sounds, brasses, harmonica, bass, guitar, scratch, growls. and i probably missed out some. some are definitely new, some helped reinforce what nat 7 covered previously. life here is so exciting =| ahhhhhhh!
