During attachments i aspire to capture my reflections on my blog. so here we try again.

S17, 26 Feb, 0800-0900

Assembly ended late and we had a brief by Mdm Lim, so lesson eventually started at 0810 instead. Mr Lim first took attendance and asked for MCs that were due. The class of 28 was seated in 5 clusters, each of about 5-8 students. Interestingly the girls were in one group, and the malays and indians were in another. I guess the chinese boys are not so nice to mix with. There was a group in a U shape that provided the most consistent noticable background noise.

Progress in tutorial was first checked, and with that consensus, Mr Lim covered one question on the whiteboard. He then gave the answers to three more qns and asked students to present their workings, although i thought it might have been better to ask all three of them at once rather than one by one. He also checked explcitly the understanding of one of the questions (with long instructions thus confusing) All in all he finished 4 qns but there were not enough time for the quick check.

Some things i want to work on: encouraging alternative solutions, using a graphics calculator, setting up consultation culture, relevant lesson closure, incorporation of humour.
