yes i havent been typing reflections. argh.

updates. was inspired by lecturer and classmate to start reading deeper into students' responses. there is now a physical file and an excel sheet existent for this purpose.

quick reflections on yesterday: socratic questioning does not always work (we knew that.) but it was obvious how one class spoke out and was brought further than the other. Amazingly and consistently, this is once again the so called better class. better at exams but not daring to speak up in class. I remember that teachers used to encourage us, but something they did might have helped alot, which was to send ppl with good answers to present on the board. and why not? she would check our answers, and if it's alright, then ask us to present. there's no pressure because you know you're right already, but now how best do you present your answers? I havent reached that stage but I would really like to test this strategy. Science to me comes coupled with a sort of ego that you must be right because you have reasoned it out (of course sometimes we are wrong and maybe those are linked to flaws in the reasoning process)

friends in the other schools: keep your students on their toes! hoho.
