Reflection after lessons.

Students couldnt keep up and benefit. I feel that they are trying, just that some get stuck.

1. They dun understand the question
2. They cant analyse the situation, ie what they can do next
3. Some werent really trying. But some were hearteningly improving on effort

I need to guide them through the first point, because:
-we want to test them for what to do given a question, content-wise. they should not be handicapped by anything else.
-They need specific practice that can give them the confidence and the affirmation of their skill level
-They need confidence to try unseen problems.

Therefore i cannot keep testing them using familiar models. In fact I should always be testing them on unfamiliar models. But then first they must be strong enough on the first point of understanding complex questions.

So point 1: build up on individual comprehension skills
point 2: build up on individual analysis skills, incorporating exam strategies
point 3: test them using unseen problems, but structure the problems so that they test one concept at a time.
point 4: encourage them at all times. teach them positive attitude. teach them preparatory skills.
