finally sat down to search for the book title on Amazon.com (quite a comprehensive catalogue, somehow.) to AST: paiseh, i finally found the title. it's Peter Sykes' a guide to mechanism in organic chemistry. if you're interested i guess it's worth your time. i was also wrong about it not being in the nlb. it is, just not in the public loan section. so i'm trying to reserve a copy through the used repository. trying, no results yet.
waiting at the computer to do tutorial bidding. life has been very good without tutorials, so i guess our little honeymoon is coming to an end. (bx has wednesdays without classes. wth. well it's only for these two weeks anyway) initially i had the concept that tutorial registration is first come first served, but seems like the one through cors is not the case. basically just bid and pray hard. for me i am quite limited in certain module timeslots (had to plan out all possible variations of my modules the army way. *sweat*) so well let's hope for the best then. the worse case scenario is simply a mad rush between one or two lessons every week lah, no big deal. nus is not -that- big.
havent done blogging for a while (in fact i really should be looking at my shriver and atkins now) so i'll just indulge a little more. this coming saturday must be the most uncertain one i've had. i dun even know whether i'm going out on friday night, staying home on saturday morning, or what. aiyah, whatever lah. hope i at least remember to send the blessings to the twins out there.
honestly i'm not doing all that well in uni. i mean like if you want to just see if i can survive, i think that's not a problem. but i'm not doing well in the sense of the kind of pace i was at in jc. it certainly helped to have people that are pulling you in front, now i'm pretty much on my own and i must admit, i'm not that good by myself. struggling the other day to accept some calculus terms. i'm also finding more and more flaws in my maths. i also skipped yesterday's tsl outing to essential brew (i think it would have been such a nice trip though) cos i got back all sweaty from the taiji tryout session and by the time i was ready to leave they have already left the campus for 20 whole minutes.
laundry in the wash, and me just trying to register for my tutorials. sigh. another time then.
